History of Miami Ideal Org.

The church was created on 11 March 1957, and incorporated as The First Church of Scientology of Miami, having been founded under the Founding Church of Washington, D.C.   In 1966, the church relocated to 3898 Biscayne Blvd, just north of downtown Miami, where the church remained for 3 years.
In 1969, the church was relocated to 985 SW 1st St, again moving back to its earlier location just south of downtown Miami, where the church remained until 1972.
By 1975, the church was very large and had outgrown its quarters in the Brickell Avenue location and new premises were searched for. A new location was found and purchased at 120 Giralda Avenue, in Coral Gables, west of downtown Miami. It was during this time period of heavy expansion that L. Ron Hubbard gave the Church of Scientology of Florida the title of Mighty Miami.
In November of 1976 the new location was ready. The church was staffed to around 80 personnel and within 24 hours the entire church was moved to its new location and open for business the next day without any interruption of church services. From 1976 until present, the church has operated out of its Coral Gables location. In the course of delivering Dianetics® and Scientology® services, Mighty Miami has been the generation point of national and international expansion.
In 2008, Mighty Miami launched its largest expansion plan to date. New premises for the church are being procured.
